The main differences are several however: the game has a story to follow, the combat is more fast paced and requires you to move a lot, the crafting is still there but is much less grindy in comparison (not saying that it isn't), and overall it feels more like a proper action game, despite your character carries a "big ass sword". Let's take out the common stuff: this game is obviously inspired from Monster Hunter, and I do mean inspired because big weapons, big monster in small areas where you gotta play in teams. ![]() Well, resurrection does this correctly thanks to the VITA, and not only that: it's a MUCH smoother, refined and overall better version of the psp game and considering that you get this game with god eater 2 included (At least that's how I got it: i still haven't played the second), it's already worth its price. However I REALLY loved that game and just like any psp games, its real flaw was the missing second analogue stick. I originally played the version on psp and I've put about 50 hours in that game but without actualy finishing it, because my main complain was I originally played the version on psp and I've put about 50 hours in that game but without actualy finishing it, because my main complain was its repetition in the missions (it was always like this: beat X versions of monster A, sometimes with monster B, or a Y version of monster X with different elements).
